Alice was the last of the pioneer family of J.D. Steele in Longmont, Colo.
Alice lived in the home built by her parents in the Altona community. She lived in Longmont for a short time before moving to Montana in 2000 to live with her daughter, Donna Platt.
Alice was a member of the Hygiene Methodist Church, Altona Grange, Eastern Star, and sang with the Sweet Adalines. She loved crafts of all types while she could see.
Most of her life was being a caregiver in her home, caring for her home, garden, and flowers.
In February 1929 she married Charles Campion. They were blessed with three daughters and one son.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Blanche Steele; husband, Charles; infant daughter Betty Jo; sister, Phoebe (Roy) Green; brothers, Merle, Andrew, Douglas, Everett, Ray, and Jesse; and several nieces and nephews.
Alice is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Carlson, Donna (Richard) Platt, Tom (Jean) Campion; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.
She has been cremated with memorial service to be held Saturday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Heron Methodist Church with a potluck to follow. Interment will be held later in Colorado
