Connie was fun, energetic, personable, loving, caring and giving. She often cared more about others and their needs above her own. She enjoyed making and seeing other people happy. She was a hugger and it didn't matter who you were, she hugged you! Her favorite foods were Mexican, homemade biscuits, and a dish called 'Meal In One'. Connie loved life, talking to people, and exploring the outdoors where she enjoyed fishing, hiking, searching for mines, caves, and anything she thought was collectible. One of her favorites hobbies besides taking photos was her passion for rocks. She was always looking for gold, but any special looking rock would do and her favorites were ones that looked like a foot! There were many locations around Thompson Falls that held a special place in Connie's heart, but the most special to her was Graves Creek Falls.
Connie is survived by her two sons, Craig (Christina) MacLachlan of Post Falls, Idaho. and Christopher MacLachlan of Belfair, Wash.; sister, Bonnie Bennett, of Hayden, Idaho; brothers, David (Dorothy) Lyght, and Dennis (Barbara) Lyght of Thompson Falls, Delbert Lyght of Missoula, and Darryl (Selena) Lyght of Libby. She is also survived by her very beloved dog Jimmy "the good boy" Lyght.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Erma Lyght and brothers, Douglas and Daniel Lyght. She is now enjoying a big reunion with all relatives waiting for her with open arms.
Connie was cremated and her ashes will be spread at a private location specified by her to her son Craig. There will be a community memorial service for Connie this spring in Thompson Falls, with notice published beforehand.
Connie May Lyght is now at peace. There is no more suffering, tears, pain, or fears for Connie in this life. She is now bathing in Heaven's glorious warmth and love with her family, friends, pets, Jesus and God.
We love you, miss you and will see you again soon.
