He served in the US Army during the Korean War and went on to dedicate 20 years in the US Coast Guard. After retirement, also from the State of Alaska, he had adventures in and around Washington, Montana, Michigan, Missouri and Hawaii. Charles enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and hearing about their latest developments, took pleasure volunteering in Meals on Wheels in Montana and Missouri, and had good times at the Senior Center.
Mr. Jokerst is survived by his daughters Linda Whalen of Thompson Falls, Christina Zepp of Anchorage, Alaska, and Carol Jokerst of Juneau, Alaska; grandchildren Sydney, Whitney, Lacey, Stephaney, Brianna, Brandon, and Jaden; brother Paul Jokerst of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, and seven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Charlotte Valleroy, and his wife of 40 years Joyce Jokerst.
