Born October 14, 1957, in Alameda, Calif., Cindy married Montana native Mike Leib and they moved to Kalispell together in the 80s. Her parents, brother and sister soon followed, bringing along their own families.
Following her divorce from Mike in 1995, Cindy moved to Missoula to pursue education at the University of Montana. She fell in love with Thompson Falls in 2001, and moved there with her sons.
Throughout her life, Cindy sought to share her love of music, especially the piano. She played for her churches wherever she went, sometimes accompanying for two or three congregations each weekend. Furthermore, she taught piano lessons to as many students as she could find, seeking to inspire in them a life-long love of the instrument she held so dear.
Of all the places she ever lived, Thompson Falls gave her the greatest love and welcome. The community embraced her and cared for her and gave her a place to share her gifts, repaying her generosity and kindness tenfold.
Cindy is survived by her sons, Schaeffer and Kaiser of Helena; her mother, Eloise and sister Sheryl of Kalispell; brother Stephen of Colorado; and many nieces, nephews, and friends all over Montana. She was predeceased by her father, Roger and brother, Bruce.
In lieu of formal services, flowers, or donations, the family requests that you honor her memory by loving one another, turning the other cheek and going the extra mile for those who need you.
