Delores was born April 22, 1935, in Colville, Wash. to Roy Sharp and Florence House Sharp. She went to school in Marcus, Wash.
Her family would visit family in Thompson Falls, where Delores met her husband Calvin L. Howard. They were married Dec. 22, 1952. Delores was married for 62 loving years to her husband Calvin at her time of passing. They had two children, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Delores was very active in raising her family and family activities. Calvin and Delores owned the local West End drive-in in Thompson for a few years, where the family all worked. She was also in the local C.B. Club for many years and her C.B. name was "Wild Mama," as many knew her. She was well known in the community and had different home base businesses throughout the years. She hosted several BBQ gatherings down at their Clark Fork River property. She was well known for her hospitality in the community, several teenagers in the Thompson Falls considered the Howard home the gathering hang out during the summers. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family and friends throughout the years. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Delores is survived by her husband, Calvin of Thompson Falls; brother, Randy Sharp; son, Roy and wife Laura Howard of Trout Creek; son, Ken and wife Juanita Howard of Kalispell; her grandchildren, Jeanne Karlstad, Steve Howard, Angie Bennett all of Kalispell, Heather Mcquiston, and Justin Howard of Missoula; great-grand children, Hunter Karlstad, Brooke Karlstad, Payton Karlstad, Cameron Mcquiston, Damion Mcquiston, Mia Howard, Remi Howard, Cadence Bennett, and Madison Bennett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Sharp and Florence House Sharp; her brother Bud Sharp.
Cremation has taken place and services will be held August 16 at the Assembly of God church, in Thompson Falls at 11 a.m. A potluck reception will be held at the church following the services.
