When Gail was 11 years old, her mother passed away. She and her father and younger sister moved to New Mexico and then to Las Vegas where she graduated from Western High School. She then moved to the San Francisco Bay area where she met Franc Day, her future husband.
After a two-week courtship, she and Franc were married July 2, 1967.
Eventually, they moved to Arlington, Wash. where she worked for Safeway and retired as produce manager after 28 years of service.
On July 26, 2003, Gail and Franc moved to the Belknap area outside of Trout Creek where she and Franc lived for ten and a half years.
Gail is survived by her husband, Franc; son, Mark of Arlington, Wash., and grandson, Conner Day.
She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed.
Memorial services will be held April 26 at 10 a.m. at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran, 1192 Mt. Silcox Dr., Thompson Falls.
