She was born April 15, 1934 to Nealy and Minnie Smith in Marmaduke, Ark.
Jean is survived by her husband of 62 years, Pastor Art Lacer; brother, Jerry (Nancy) Smith of Bono, Ark.; children, Zeta (Dan) Milaa of Livingston, Mont., Chuck (Rosemarie) Lacer of Grangeville, Idaho and Delli (Sam) Swatman of Thompson Falls; nine grandchildren, Charlie, James, Heidi, Kasey, Staci, Sheena, Colby, Samantha, and Kyle; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, one sister, and one great-granddaughter.
Jean loved painting, camping, needle crafts, and writing stories about her life. She enjoyed spending quiet time with her Lord and Savior and her greatest joy in life were her many grandchildren and “adopted” kids.
Besides growing up in Arkansas, she lived in California, Arizona, Oregon, British Columbia, and Butte, Mont. and Thompson Falls, always witnessing and sharing God’s love everywhere she went.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 11 at 1 p.m. at Gospel Mountain Assembly of God in Thompson Falls with a reception at Gospel Mountain Assembly of God fellowship hall following the graveside service.
