Jesse was born in Missoula, Mont., March 1, 1962 to Bryce and Bonnie (Baylor) Doty. He was the youngest of three boys. Jesse was a life-long resident of Thompson Falls, and he was an avid outdoorsman, and very loving husband. He worked as a logger for most of his life, and he loved hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, backpacking, camping, and picking huckleberries & morels. Jesse loved being outside so much that he raised a garden that anyone would be proud of and canned much of the produce even though he was very sick at the end of his life. His will power was inspiring.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Kathi at home in Thompson Falls, daughter, Alexandra Doty of Bradenton, Fla., his father, Bryce Doty, and brothers, Michael Doty (wife Deborah) and Steve Doty all of Thompson Falls.
Jesse is also survived by close friends Dean (wife Anna) Frost of Reedsport, Ore., Jamie Byous of Modesto, Calif., as well as numerous other lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie and faithful dog Sadie.
Jesse’s close cousin Fred (Erick) Doty, of Thompson Falls, passed away unexpectedly closely following Jesse’s passing.
A Memorial BBQ for family and friends will be held on July 29, 2017 at the Montana power park for Jesse and Fred (Erick) Doty starting at 2 p.m.
Jesse will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
