Kathy was born October 31, 1960 in San Jose, California, to Dennis and Barbara Mullins. She had two sisters, Cynthia Lynn Compton and Susan Marie Ziebell. She had a happy young life with her family, moving several times due to her dad's Naval career. She lived on Naval bases in Rhode Island, Puerto Rico and Whidbey Island in Washington. Her father Dennis discovered Montana while hunting; eventually moving his family to Heron.
At age 13, Boss and Kathy met and instantly fell in love. Kathy and Boss were married December 31, 1976. December 2016 they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary surrounded by family and friends. They raised two daughters, Jolie and Carly. They have one grandchild, Gage.
After raising their daughters, Kathy earned her teaching degree at the University of Idaho, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Her teaching career began in 2001 at Noxon Elementary School, where she taught kindergarten and first grade. Kathy loved children and touched many lives. She was an exceptional teacher and continually found inspiring and fun methods of teaching. Kathy had a passion for reading and shared many books with her friends and family.
In addition to teaching, one of her greatest joys was her time with her family. Raising her grandson Gage, attending his school activities and sports events was her priority. Kathy had a loving and giving personality and it was extended to each person she knew. She had a way of making people feel special and she lived her life with grace.
She dearly loved her family and was proud of each of them. She is survived by her husband, Brent (Boss) Fitchett; her two daughters, Jolie Anne Fitchett and Carly Marie Fitchett; grandson, Gage Morris Ray Hendrick; parents Dennis and Barbara Mullins; sisters, Cindy (Kent) Compton and Susie Ziebell; eight nephews and five nieces. She is preceded in death by father and mother in law, Ray and Charlene Fitchett.
Kathy will be greatly missed by all and loved forever.
