Kevin served in the U.S. army from 1978 to 1985 and received many commendations and certificates. He was a hard worker, stubborn, and a caring man.
Kevin loved to be in the mountains cutting firewood, hunting, fishing or camping. The mountains were his home away from home.
He had a master’s degree in BS, and sometimes the waders were not enough.
No matter how busy Kevin was, he always made time for his kids and wife, even with all the projects he was working on in his shop.
He will be missed by many, but always in our hearts.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Katrina “Kitty” Fortner; children, Buck and Brandy Fortner; brothers, Glen and Sean Fortner; sister, Rochelle Dickinson and extended family.
Services will be held at 1911 Tower St. in Missoula Friday, July 29 at 9:30 a.m. After the ceremony, join us for a potluck lunch in celebration of Kevin’s life at 16820 Mullan Rd., Frenchtown.
