She was born March 13, 1940 in Everett, Wash. to Marjorie and Ernest Millholland. In 1943, along with her sister Jean and her brothers Jim and Mike, she was put in the home of Magnus Simmons and Aleda Borkavick as their foster children where they would remain until becoming adults. She attended East Sunnyside Elementary School and graduated from Lake Stevens High School in June of 1959. Lillian went to beauty college in 1960 and became a hairdresser. She worked at the Bates Beauty Salon and the Bonmarche Beauty Salon for 20 years until opening her own hair salon on Colby Avenue. In 1992 Lillian and Troy moved to Noxon.
