She was welcomed into the family by her brother Tom, sister, Mary, and her grandmother Frances McCormick (Mom). Growing up on the family ranch, she spent many happy times with the animals; her Welsh pony, Barney gave her great friendship and patience. After High School, she attended Montana State College (now MSU) in Bozeman and graduated with a degree in elementary education. She was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and during this time met her husband-to-be, Dale Reller.
Dale and Pat were married December 28, 1957 at Holy Cross Church in Townsend. They became the proud and happy parents of Sidney, Liz and Jeff.
Pat was a member of St. William’s Catholic Church in Thompson Falls, the Altar Society, prayer chain, and worked many Cursillos. She was a member of the Sons and Daughters of Montana Pioneers, and the Luck Nine Investment Club until it disbanded. Dale and Pat delivered Meals on Wheels, and she had great fun playing cards and said the best part was being with people. She joined Willy’s painting class and always enjoyed the fun and friendships that developed.
Her favorite athlete was Secretariat because of the wonderful heart of a race horse and Triple Crown winner in 1973. She was a lifelong Democrat and a Yankee baseball fan.
Preceding her in death were her father, mother and brother. She is survived by her husband Dale; her children Sidney (Doug) Rider, Liz Finley (Dave) and Jeff (Kelly) Reller; grandchildren Jenny and Mike Rider, Lauren (Keean) Rustad and Hannah Rider and one great granddaughter, Ella. Other survivors are her sister, Mary Hooks; sister-in-law Marnee Kieckbusch and their families; Peggy Reller, Rev. Gary Reller and her cousins Jerry and Muriel Reller and long-time friends Kent and Carlene Bachmann.
Pat wrote this obituary and wanted to thank her family and friends for being a part of her life and extends her love to them forever.
