After attending Thompson Falls High School, he joined the US Army as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne. Marvin was employed in construction and very artistic in making handmade jewelry.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Gallaher; father, John D. Gallaher; and two brothers, Thomas Gallaher and Jay Gallaher.
He is survived by his son, Craig Gallaher of Albert Lea, Minn.; brothers, John M. Gallaher of Thompson Falls, Paul Gallaher of Ashland, Ky., and Carl Wiseman of Southgate, Calif.; sisters, Dorothea Gallaher of Thompson Falls, Pandora Marble of St. Louis, Mo., and Elizabeth Moore of Grover Beach, Calif.; along with four nephews and six nieces and their families.
