He moved with his family to Payette, Idaho at nine years old. He joined the Navy September of 1944 and served two years during WWII.
He married Jo Ann Coleman in 1946 and they moved to Puyallup, Wash. They lived there over 60 years and raised their three children. Bud worked for the City of Puyallup as a heavy equipment operator and lead man until his retirement in 1979.
After retirement they traveled extensively in and out of the US. His hobby was remodeling houses which they did right up until his early 80s.
In April of 2011 they relocated to Thompson Falls to be near their daughter and son-in-law and granddaughter and her husband, and their great-grandson.
He is survived by his wife of the home, Jo Ann Norman; his daughter and her husband Judy (Fred) Haines of Thompson Falls; sons, Jerry (Jan) of Brookings, Ore. and Glen (Donna) of Puyallup, Wash.; sister, Ruby Galloway of Puyallup, Wash.; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
His remains will be laid to rest at Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup, Wash. near his parent’s gravesites.
