Sandra was very active in the different communities where she lived in Colorado, Idaho, and Montana. She was known for being an accomplished artist and teacher in a multitude of medias, running the Kootenai County Humane Society in Coeur d' Alene and being a 4-H Leader to many youth in a multitude of various projects in 4-H. She helped different groups and seniors in Libby and Noxon. Her dearest passion since childhood was horses, always working on her knowledge and skills as a horsewoman. She helped numerous horses and people attain a better working relationship, along with reaching their goals.
Sandra will be remembered by her daughters Kim Ortamond and Dana Fox Masur; her granddaughters Artie Nelson and Diana French, along with great grandchildren (twin boys) Cody Nelson, Ayden Nelson, and Mae French. Over the years Sandra has unofficially adopted many to her family.
A celebration of life will be held at Libby Ambulance Barn (307 Montana Ave) October 7, 2017 starting at 12:00 noon. There will be a short service, potluck and sharing.
