She married Pat H. Miller March 4, 1964 in Long Beach, Calif. Together they had three boys, Randy and Ryan, a set of twins, and the youngest Patrick Jr. The family moved to Gainesville, Fla. for seven years while Pat worked for Carlon. Later the company moved them to Woodland, Calif. until Pat’s retirement, and then the empty nesters moved to Thompson Falls to enjoy retirement. There in Thompson Falls they met many good friends. Alice, Betty, Missy, Patsy, and Mom, were considered the wild girls. The fishing and camping trips the wild girls would take to Mary Ronan are what legends are made of.
Jody loved her friends and their adventures. Camping and fishing in the tournaments with the Bass-n-Gals, flying to see a friend, her first time away from Pat she missed him so much! Jody loved to play Yahtzee, but only for a quarter, no quarter no game. Jody liked to go to Toby’s and the Wild Coyote to see friends and play pool, she loved winning. We loved her witty humor; she always had us in stitches. She is truly loved and missed.
“Here’s looking at you and putting it in me.”
One of Mom’s favorite things to do was to cook, she always loved to bake, make homemade dishes along with pies.
While living in Woodland, Calif., Jody went to beauty school to get her cosmetology license. She would donate her time to cut hair for the less fortunate.
Mom is survived by her husband of 51 years; sons, Randy and his wife Kelly, Ryan and Pat Jr. and his wife Jo-Lisa; grandchildren, Kajsa Hawkins, Carson Miller, Dakota Miller, Gunner Miller, Cecily Neeley, Hailey Miller, Emma Miller, Drew Miller, Salina Simpson, Savanna Griffith; many great-grandchildren whom she loved very much; and brothers and sisters, John, Bill, Joanie, Marion, Helen and Robert Miller of San Diego.
