Tom is survived by his wife Karen, daughters, Amy (Brian) Xanders and Beth (Shawn) Dollar; brothers Gary Ascher, Henry Ascher, and Bob Ascher; grandchildren, Reid Xanders (12), Mary Claire Xanders (9), Griffin Dollar (7), and Caleb Dollar (4).
Tom was a special trial attorney for the U.S. Treasury for 32 years. He was an avid supporter and lifelong member of the NRA and many wildlife preservation organizations. He was also a member of The Elks.
Tom had an insatiable zest for life and adventure. He was a seasoned traveler who realized his dream to travel the four corners of the earth. He loved scuba diving, sail boating, hiking, and target shooting. He was an expert chess and poker player.
Tom’s ashes will be scattered in a private ceremony on a beach in Florida.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
