Victor was born January 10, 1948 in Klamath Falls, Ore. to James and Anna James. He attended Modoc High and graduated in 1966. After Modoc High, he volunteered for the Army and deployed to Vietnam. After his return, March 14, 1971, he found and married his true love; Criscilla Ash. Together they had three children, Mike, Jeff, and Danny.
Victor worked for the US forest service and moved around a lot in the early years. Most of his time was spent in two places: Alturas, Calif. for ten years, and 28 years, what would be the remainder of his life, in Montana. Victor loved Montana, especially the outdoor life that Noxon and surrounding communities provided.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Anna James; brothers, James Jr. and John; sisters, Rose Mae, Betty, and Francis; and his wife of 45 years, Cris. He is survived by a brother Larry (Mary) James of Ashland Ore.; sisters, Doris (Wayne) Wiley of Talent, Ore., Helen Clark of Klamath Falls, Ore., Pam (Dean) Todaro of Wisconsin, and Jackie Banuelos of California; sons, Michael (Vicki) James and Jeff (Adrieonna) James of Glendive, and Paul (Misti) James of San Tan Valley, Ariz.
