Vivian married Albert Roberts at the Church of Transfiguration in Moose, Wyo. September 22, 1946. Vivian and Al had two children, Randy and Russ. The family lived in Calpet, Wyo., Black Mountain, Wyo., Keene, N.D., Charlson, N.D., and Watford City, N.D. Vivian worked as the Deputy County Auditor in McKenzie County North Dakota until her retirement.
Vivian moved to Thompson Falls in 2002 to be closer to her surviving family. Vivian never met a stranger or had an unkind word for anyone, and had many friends wherever she lived. She was the kindest most generous person I have had the honor of being around. Her life was not always easy but no matter what came up, she always looked on the bright side of things and made the most of any situation.
Vivian will be missed by all who knew her. Music always had a special place in Vivian’s life and was something that made her happy until the end of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles Sneddon; sister, Margaret Beyda; husband, Albert Roberts; and son, Russ Roberts. Vivian is survived by her son, Randy Roberts and his wife Lonna Derenburger of Thompson Falls; daughter-in-law, Nikki Roberts and grandchildren, Cassidy Roberts and McKeon Roberts of Grand Rapids, Minn.
A special thank you to the gang at Minnie’s for all their kindness in her last years and to Mary Lou Henze at Mount Silcox Adult Care for the care and love she gave to Vivian. A celebration of Vivian’s life will be held at the Christian Church in Thompson Falls Sat., November 1 at 2p.m.
