Bill served in the US Army Reserves for eight years after six months of active duty. He worked in several car dealerships until he landed his dream career as a mechanic for the Snohomish County Public Utility Dist. #1 in Everett, Wash. He was also a volunteer firefighter for Dist. 18 at Bryant, Wash. for 33 years.
Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mildred “Milly” Green; daughters, Robin (Alex) Grasso of Masonville, Colo. Gena (Don) Green of Missoula; sons, Chuck Green of Marysville, Wash. and Daniel (Heidi) Green of Arlington, Wash.; sister, Lauraine (Alden) Hill of Arlington, Wash. and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean; father, Norman; sisters Norma Green and Roberta Britton.
At his request there will be no services, but there will be a celebration of his life at the Mennonite church at Whitepine, June 21, 2014 at 1 p.m.
