Stop enabling cowards who disrespect flag

October 26, 2017

As citizens of the United States, veterans and proud members of the community we find the actions of many Americans who show a total lack of respect for the Flag of the United States and the national anthem of the United States to be reprehensible.

The Flag is more than a symbol of the country. The Flag is a monument to all of those men and women who sacrificed their lives and fortunes to found this country. The Flag is a monument to all of the soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen who have given their time, their health and their lives to protect this country from foreign aggression. The Flag is a monument to all of the first responders who give us order instead of chaos. Even more the Flag and the Anthem are the universal face of every citizen of the United States.

For a group of pampered, elitist athletes and entertainers to claim they have a purpose to insult the very face of this nation under the guise of protest for unjust actions is preposterous. No nation in history has given its citizens more opportunity to better themselves. No nation in history has offered more aid and assistance to others in times of manmade crises and natural disasters. No nation in history has sacrificed the numbers of its best and brightest to help others being crushed under the fists of tyrants. To overlook and deny all of the good and to try and rewrite history is unconscionable. This country is not perfect, no country ever has been but to take such actions without offering any solution or help to make this country better is an act of cowardice. The actions of those cowards are doing more to divide this nation than the efforts of all of our historical enemies and are aiding our current enemies in their efforts to destroy us.

We the undersigned encourage all of you to join us in support of our Country and stop enabling the athletes and entertainers from using the celebrity and the public stage to insult and disparage the citizens and the symbols of the most charitable and just nation in the history of mankind. Take the money you would spend on sports and entertainment and redirect those dollars from the pockets of the NFL and Hollywood elitists to those in need who will appreciate your efforts.
