Joyce Lynne Burns, 69, passed away in her home Friday November 17, 2017 after a year-long struggle with an incurable nerve disorder.

Lynne was born July 8, 1948 in Lovelock, Nevada. After graduation from high school she enlisted in the Navy. She served honorably from 1966 to 1969. Lynne married Robert N. Burns in 1972. They lived in Darby and Helena before settling permanently in Thompson Falls in May of 1991. She retired from the Sanders County Clerk and Recorders Office in 2013 after 22 years as the Plat Clerk.

Lynne enjoyed reading, restoring oak furniture and was always thinking up ideas for remodeling her home. She loved her family, but her grandchildren held a special place in her heart.

Lynne was preceded in death by her father, Lyle Wilcox. She is survived by her mother, Juanita Wilcox, siblings, Rodney Wilcox (Patty) and Shelley Gore (Larry), husband, Robert Burns, daughter, Theresa Milner (Larry), son Tim Burns (Darbie), grandchildren Brandon Milner, Joey Milner, Delanie Burns, great grandson Isaac Milner and family too numerous to mention.

Per Lynne's request she was cremated and no services were planned. She was loved and will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
