January 11, 2018

In 20th District Judicial Court on Tuesday, Judge James Manley handed down a suspended sentence to Tayler Dawson for an incident in May 2016.

Dawson was sentenced to 5 days in the Sanders County Jail and a 6-month deferred sentence to a count of misdemeanor assault, and a 1-year suspended sentence for misdemeanor negligent endangerment. Dawson was charged after an incident on May 29, 2016, in Hot Springs.

In other court proceedings, Judge Manley accepted a plea agreement for Chritopher Barry, who pleaded guilty to sexual assault without consent with a person under the age of 16. Sentencing for Barry is set for Feb. 13.

Marisa Harvey appeared in court to change her plea to guilty to a charge of possession of dangerous drugs. Harvey’s charges stemmed from a search by probation officers that resulted in traces of oxycodone being found on a spoon in her purse. Sentencing for Harvey is set for Feb. 27.
