EARLY-DAY HORSE RACE on Main Street in Thompson Falls in front of the Ward Hotel during Fourth of July festivities. This picture is not the famous horse race mentioned in this article because the Ward Hotel was not built until 1908. This is a close race, the horses are nose to nose.
