Prepared. For life.

The motto Boy Scouts of America base their program on. Preparing young boys physically, mentally and spiritually to become positive citizens in society, while emphasizing on outdoor experiences and survival skill development.

Is there a better place to experience the outdoors than right here in our backyard?

Carl Marquardt is working to bring Boy Scouts to the Thompson Falls and Trout Creek area. He is currently searching for a local charter representative to bring his plan to fruition. He has two sons who are Boy Scouts and would like to see their growth continue as well as providing the opportunity for other young men.

Boy Scouts, one of the largest scouting establishments in America, is a program for young men that was established in 1910. Since then, the organization has grown to 2.4 million young participants and having close to 1 million adult volunteers.

Ranking in the club generally starts with Cub Scouts servicing boys ages 7 to 11, Boy Scouts for boys aged 11 to 18 years, and lastly Venturing for both men and women who are 14 to 21 years old.

Starting in 2018 the program will allow girls to join Cub Scout dens, in 2019 girls will be given the opportunity to earn Eagle Scout ranking as well.

He is asking for anyone who has questions, or is interested in becoming a member or volunteer to contact him. He can be reached via email at [email protected].
