Plains High School alum Casey Jermyn has been the Montana Coaches Association (MCA) Coach of the Year for both boys and girls Class AA cross country for leading the Bozeman squads to AA team titles this past fall.

A State B champion distance runner at Plains during his prep career, Jermyn owns and operates a running specialty store in Bozeman and coaches the Bozeman Hawk cross country program on the side. Jermyn also ran competitively in college.

Other Coach of Year honorees of local interest include: Trevor Utter of Eureka (Class B football); Bryce Carver of Hamilton (Class A football); Erin Keffler of Missoula Sentinel (Class AA volleyball); and Joanne Cleveland of Corvallis (Class A volleyball).

MCA Coach of the Year selections are made by a vote of member coaches for their respective sports following the completion of each sport’s season.
