Fair preparations begin

HOLD STILL KEVIN – Pat Wilson holds on tight to his daughter Sydnee's steer, Kevin, while being tagged by Richard Jackson in preparation for fair. The 11-month-old steer weighed in at 900 pounds. This is the first year Sydnee is in the steer project, and she is enrolled in the Whitepine Happy Workers 4H Club. Matt Havens is assisting with light from his cell phone.

There are still quite a few pages to turn on the calendar before Sanders County Fair takes place, but 4-H steer members are already hard at work. Saturday morning 4-H steer owners met at Havens Stable in Whitepine to have their contenders weighed and tagged.
