Summer may seem a long way off during February in Montana but youth baseball season is on its way in only a few short weeks, and it is time to sign up for organized play.
The youngest players will be meeting up first, as the Thompson Falls Youth League sign-up, for players 4 to 12 years old by May 1, will be in the Thompson Falls Elementary School lunch room Monday, Feb. 19.
The Clark Fork Valley Cougars Babe Ruth and Senior Babe Ruth baseball program will hold their annual player registration and parents meeting at the Thompson Falls Community Center Saturday, Feb. 24 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Prospective Babe Ruth players need to be 13 to 18 years old by May 1, and players from anywhere in Sanders County are eligible to participate, league organizer Brandon Fisher said. Senior Babe Ruth players need to be 16 to 18 years old by May 1.
