Falls bowlers earn honors

 


The Thompson Falls Bowling Association held its annual city tournament on Saturday, March 17, at Rimrock Lanes. Prizes were presented at the association’s annual banquet, held March 29 at the Wild Coyote.

At the banquet, Frank Chema was inducted into the Hall of Fame, and Anita Brown was awarded Bowler of the Year. Rookie of the Year went to Matthew Lindsay, and Ginger Ward received the 10-Pin Outstanding Achievement Award. The association also elected directors Ron Hawkinson, Bernie Groshong and Sandy True.

The results from the city tournament included:

Women’s doubles: Nancy Fields and Ginger Ward, 1156; Wendy Kelly and Mary Thomas, 115.

Men’s doubles: Lonny Davis and Gary Thompson, 1326; Ron Beaty and Kelly Beaty, 1156.

Mixed doubles: Rick Hagedorn and Ron Hawkinson, 1338; Bernie Groshong and Mary Muro, 1285.

Mixed team: Mixed Nuts, 2462; Cookin’ N Brooklyn, 2422.

Men’s team: Old Man Team, 2527; Bernie’s Auto, 2339.

Women’s team: Whitefish Credit Union, 2327; Fun Team, 2235.

Men’s singles: Ron Beaty, 669; Bernie Groshong, 653.

Women’s singles: Robin Hagedorn, 610; Anita Brown 590.

Men’s A/E: Ron Beaty, 1900; Lonny Davis, 1882.

Women’s A/E: Yvonne Hawkinson, 1834; Ginger Ward, 1740.

Bld. Doubles: Ron Ready & Ron Beaty, 1317; Ginger Ward & Robin Hagedorn, 1274.
