PET SPA - Michelle Easley has opened Diamonds in the Ruff, a grooming salon, east of Thompson Falls.

Getting your dog looking their best doesn't have to be a chore. Michelle Easley has started a local business in Thompson Falls to help with just that. Her grooming salon, Diamonds in the Ruff, specializes in puppies, elderly dogs and even "aggressive dogs."

Easley believes that "a calm atmosphere and a quiet salon really helps to make your pet less anxious about being groomed." Living in such a rural community, Easley even has experience with grooming dogs that have been sprayed by skunks to get them sparkly clean again.

Easley has been a business owner for 15 years and has been grooming dogs for almost 30 years.

"This is not a job for me, but my passion in life," Easley said. Making the pets of the community comfortable through grooming is a way that she shows her care and compassion. Easley has the experience to handle pets who have been groomed before and those who have no experience at all with the grooming environment.

Diamonds in the Ruff is open Tuesday through Saturday with the first appointment time at 9 a.m. Call (406) 210-7192 to make an appointment and walk-ins are always welcome.

The salon is located at 2613 Industrial Way next to the Elks Lodge just east of Thompson Falls.
