Children of all ages were invited to come out and join the Vacation Bible School (VBS), that was hosted by the Thompson Falls Community Congregational Church (TFCCC) and missionaries from Christ's Church in Federal Way, Washington. A total of 30 missionaries came from Washington to help out with the four-day event. This was the second year that TFCCC has hosted this VBS with help from the missionaries, who also spent their time around Thompson Falls, chopping firewood, cleaning yards, and even repairing a roof.

PICKING THE PLAY - The blue team strategizes the perfect plan of action for an attempt to score against the green team.

The missionaries are part of a "fusion group" that chooses towns to travel to for a total of seven years, building relationships with the community and helping out any way they can. Heather Schraeder of TFCCC said "the fusion group even had some people from Plains come visit who had gotten to know them when they were doing the same fusion program there."

The children had the opportunity to do crafts, play games, participate in plays, and have fun making new friends, sharing personal testimonies. There was even a soccer scrimmage on Previs Field where the children got to run out their energy with some friendly competition. VBS leader Spencer LaPlante took a moment during a break in the scrimmage to share his personal testimony and how becoming a leader in VBS has helped him in his journey. Nathan Schraeder also shared how God has influenced his life.

The TFCCC also hosted a free dinner for the community at the NorthWestern Energy Power Park with members of the fusion group providing music and helping serve the food.
