It's the one time, the one day a year that it is really all right for even he-men to wear pink, and it is coming to Thompson Falls Saturday night.

Coach Sandra Kazmierczak's Lady Hawk volleyball team will host its annual Pink-out night in support of breast cancer awareness in a District 7B conference match with Eureka, and all fans are urged to join the Falls players in wearing pink for the occasion.

"Our seniors are responsible for promoting our Pink night," Kazmierczak said referencing the efforts of seniors Sarah Detlaff and Maya Stiles, "and we would love to see a bunch of people wearing pink for our match Saturday."

The Lady Hawks split matches last week, falling to Mission 25-22, 16-25, 25-20, 25-20 Thursday in Thompson Falls and rebounding to bounce Troy 25-14, 25-18, 25-13 in Troy Saturday.

The Hawks were to have visited Mission for a match Tuesday but results of that match were not available at press time.

Sophomore setter Riley Wilson, who Kazmierczak credits with doing "a great job of distributing the ball to her teammates," directed the Hawk net attack against Mission with 27 set assists.

Stiles added 11 digs and three service aces to the Thompson Falls effort, Jody Detlaff and Scarlette Schwindt executed 11 kills apiece, Belle Cooper and Ellie Pardee each blocked a shot and Brooke Bowlin hit three service aces.

Sydney Brander hit 11 kills for the Lady Bulldogs, Ashton Brander had five blocks, Azia Umphrey three aces and Hunter Eichert 30 set assists.

At Troy, Wilson put up 18 set assists, Schwindt had 11 kills and nine digs, Bowlin seven kills and four service aces, Stiles nine digs and Jody Detlaff three stuff blocks. No details were available from Troy's side of the match.

Kazmierczak has the colors pink, orange and black on her mind heading into Saturday's showdown with Eureka. The Lions, who's team colors are orange and black, defeated Thompson Falls in Eureka earlier this season in Eureka.

"We are excited to play them again, we had a great match last time," she said, "and it will be fun playing them on Pink night.

"We are running a little different offense now than we were earlier this season," she added, "so it will be interesting to see how that goes, too."
