October 25, 2018

Ron Burghard, 1964 Thompson Falls graduate, is performing solo at a benefit concert at 7 p.m., Saturday, October 27, at the Rex Theatre. Ron grew up on what is now the Muster Ranch and he was graduated from Thompson Falls High School in 1964. He maintains a part-time residence locally.

This year’s benefit concert will focus on “Western Folk,” classic country and his own songs. His performance is free and open to the public although donations are greatly appreciated. Financial donations will be matched by Town Pump Charitable Foundation at its annual fundraiser for local food banks.

While attending local schools, he played trumpet and baritone, then taught himself guitar.

Burghard, with help from friends Ray Babcock, Dennis Roberts and Tom Grimm, have entertained locally at the Senior Center, Elks, class reunions and as benefit concerts for Community Harvest Food Bank. Last year with Grimm, Dave and Deb Oliver, Caroline Penny, Bob Sink and Grimm performed for their second food bank concert.
