SETTING TIME - Lady Hawk setter Riley Wilson hits a shot up as teammate Ellie Pardee follows the action. Hawks wrap up home schedule Saturday versus Troy.

The Lady Hawks have been right on the precipice, right on the edge of becoming a very good volleyball team all season.

Coach Sandra Kazmierczak is thinking that now is as good a time as any to finally make that leap of faith and for the Lady Hawks to be all that they can be.

"These girls are very capable of being a very good team," she said. "We have all the necessary players – the setters, the hitters, the back row players – we just have to learn how to finish points and games better."

Getting to that promised land takes some traveling and the Lady Hawks have become battle-tested as the season has gone on.

"We have been playing a lot of four and five set matches that could have gone either way," she said. "We just have to break through and win a couple of matches like that to build our confidence."

The Lady Hawks lost 20-25, 25-15, 25-14, 25-13 to Stillwater Christian in Kalispell Thursday in their only match last week.

Brooke Bowlin compiled seven kills, a stuff block, five aces and three digs in that match, Belle Cooper put down five kills and three blocks, Scarlette Schwindt five kills, 10 digs and an ace, and Jody Detlaff three kills and two more blocks.

Sarah Detlaff had 11 digs, Maya Stiles 13 and Riley Wilson hit 16 set assists.

The Lady Hawks finish regular season play this week with a pair of District 7B conference matches. The Hawks will play at Bigfork Thursday and will host Troy Saturday.

Saturday's match will serve as senior night for the Hawks and Stiles and Sarah Detlaff will be honored.
