Churches plan holiday services

Celebrate the reason for the season with local churches, who will be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. They all open their doors to congregation members and visitors alike.

Hot Springs

Father Jeffrey Benusa will hold Mass at 11 a.m., Christmas Day at Sacred Heart Mission, 220 Arlee St. S.

Plains

First Lutheran Church of Plains, presided by Pastor Seilhymer, 601 South 5th Ave., will hold a candlelight service at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. December 30 the church will host a Lessons and Carols service at 9 a.m.

Plains Alliance Church, 505 5th St., Plains, welcome everyone to attend a candlelight service at 6:30 p.m. Christmas Eve with Pastor Randy Nielson presiding.

Father Benusa will hold Christmas Eve Mass at St. James Parish, 107 Meany St., at 8 p.m.

Nondenominational Plains Bible Church, located at 8 Combest Creek Rd., will hold a candlelight service and their children’s Christmas program at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Pastor Patrick Earhart of Clark Fork Baptist Church, 105 E. Lynch St. (across from Fred Young Park), will hold a candlelight service at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Thompson Falls

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, officiated by Pastor Carol Seilhymer, located at 611 Ogden Ave., will have a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m. for anyone interested in celebrating the reason for the season. Lessons and Carols will take place at 11 a.m. on Dec. 30.

St. William Parish, 416 Preston Ave., will hold Christmas Eve Mass at 6 p.m. Father Benusa will preside.

Thompson Falls Community Congregational Church’s Pastor Matt Schraeder will celebrate the birth of Christ by candlelight on Christmas Eve at 6 p.m. The church is located at 704 Preston Ave.

Pastor Bob Crowder will be holding a 30-minute service on Christmas Eve at Thompson Falls Christian Church, located at the corner of Church St. and Haley St. beginning at 7 p.m.

Pastor Charlie Denson, Gospel Mountain Assembly of God, 1120 W. Preston Ave., will hold service Christmas Eve at 6 p.m.

Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1192 Mt. Silcox, will be holding two services, one Christmas Eve at 6 p.m. and at 10 a.m., Dec. 25. Presiding will be visiting Rev. Larson.

New Life Fellowship’s Pastor Irene Anderson will honor the season with the annual Christmas program on December 23 at 11 a.m. The church is located on Airport Road, east of Thompson Falls.

Belknap/Whitepine

Pastor Jason Cox will direct a candlelight Christmas Eve service in Belknap at the Whitepine Community United Methodist Church, 16 Whitepine Lane, at 7 p.m. Community involvement will be the basis of this service.

Trout Creek

Pastor Dan “Hap” Cheff will hold a 5:30 p.m. Christmas Eve service at Cabinet Mountain Bible Church located at mile marker 30 on Highway 200.

Noxon/Heron/Clark Fork, Idaho

Father Benusa will hold Mass at Noxon Mission beginning at 3 p.m., Dec. 24.

Clark Fork Baptist Church, 109 W. 2nd Ave., Clark Fork, Idaho, will hold a delightful Christmas program on Saturday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. MST, 6 p.m. PST and hold regular services Sunday, Dec. 23 at noon MST, 11 a.m. PST and 7 p.m. MST, 6 p.m. PST.
