Job well done by Rep. Brown supporting veterans

January 31, 2019

On Tuesday, January 22 I had the honor to testify before the House Subcommittee for Veterans' Affairs. I was supporting the Ravalli County Veterans group in their effort to get funding from the state to assist the financing necessary to establish a Veterans Service Office in every county in Montana.

My testimony was requested and I accepted the privilege to represent the 1,500 veterans of Sanders County and add my support to all Montana counties' veterans.

I arrived at the capitol and was getting oriented when House Representative Bob Brown recognized and approached me. We visited and briefly discussed my purpose for the testimony. I proceeded to the House Chamber meeting room and the hearing began.

I was about to take my turn to testify when Representative Brown unexpectedly appeared in chambers and took the seat next to me. When my testimony was concluded I returned to my chair and was surprised but most appreciative to see Representative Brown step to the microphone and testify on behalf of all Montana veterans with frequent reference to veterans of Sanders County. Representative Brown offered up professional support and compassion for our veterans.

It is my opinion that if we win the support of the Montana House of Representatives to fund a full-time Veterans Service Office in Sanders County it will be directly connected to the support of Representative Brown.

On behalf of 1,500 Sanders County veterans I would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to Representative Bob Brown for a professional job well done.

Sincerely,

Billy Hill,

Trout Creek
