AN ONLINE PETITION proposes to sell Montana to Canada for $1 trillion to eliminate the national debt. One person took the cause one step further, placing a small "For Sale" sign below the Welcome to Montana sign at the Montana-Idaho border west of Heron.
Travelers coming from Idaho who saw the sign got a good giggle. Polly Raymond captured photos of the prank. "Just want to clarify I was not the clever person who placed the sign," Raymond said.
