TCCIA hopping into action for annual egg hunt

March 21, 2019

The Trout Creek Community Improvement Association (TCCIA) doesn’t stay idle for very long. After just finishing up with the annual Cabin Fever Redneck Ball a few weeks ago, they are now transferring their energy into organizing their 6th annual Easter Eggstravaganza.

“To make this event as spectacular as the last two years, we could use a little help,” Elizabeth Stender of TCCIA said. With more than 300 children attending last year’s Easter Eggstravaganza, the event is no small task.

“We had over 6,000 eggs filled with candy and prizes” for the kids to collect, Stender shared. In addition to the age-grouped egg hunt, there will be a raffle, Easter crafting stations and toys, sports equipment and grand-prize bicycles to be given away. “Even the Easter Bunny will make another appearance to pose for pictures with the kiddos.”

With prizes totaling over $2,500 last year, TCCIA hopes that through donations, this year will be as plentiful. “We are again asking for prize donations or cash contributions to help us create a wonderful event for our western Sanders County communities,” Stender said. “Donations will also help pay for our decorations, snacks and crafts.”

The event will take place Saturday, April 20, at the Trout Creek Park. Stender asks that donations be made no later than Friday, April 12, to give the committee time to make final purchases. All donations may be mailed to P.O. Box 1416, Trout Creek, MT 59874. Checks can be written out to TCCIA and are tax deductible with their tax code being 81-0508275. Stender asked donators to include a return address so they can mail a receipt for all donations.

“Living in a small town of under 300 residents, fundraising can be challenging,” according to TCCIA, “but we are thrilled to be hosting this event for our community and recognize without generous support from sponsors like you, we could not make events like our Easter Eggstravaganza a success.”

For more information on the event or making donations, contact Stender at (406) 827-3226.
