Wild Coyotes hunt down Wednesday lead

 


The Wild Coyotes shot the low team gross and took over first place in league standings in Wednesday Night Men’s League action at River’s Bend last week.

With Kevin Sparks, Dave Petteys, Scott Pardee and Howard Morkert doing the golfing honors for team Wild Coyote, the furry, fearsome foursome shot the low team gross of 169.

The Coyotes now reside in first place with 122.5 team points while Whitefish Credit Union is second at 112.5.

Ron’s Running Dinos – Jesse Mack, Darrel Torgrimson, Bruce Sterling and Dan Kier – teamed up to shoot the low team net of 138, and moved up two spots to third place in current team standings.

Ryan Ostwald carded the low individual gross of 38 and Morkert earned low net honors with a 29.

In hole play, Ostwald was the man of the day, hitting closest to the pin in 3 on No. 2, rolling in the long putt on No. 3 and hitting the long drive on No. 9.

Randy Hagedorn was closest to the pin off the tee on No. 5, Wally Gibe put the long putt down on No. 6, and Mike Gillmore hit the other long drive on No. 9, the one for those driving past 55.

Dan Whittenburg (No. 3) and Chuck Manry (No. 7) made chip-ins part of their rounds.
