Wild Coyotes win Wednesday's 1st half

Wednesday’s winners are the wily Wild Coyotes – at least for now.

The Wednesday Night Men’s League wrapped up the first half of season play as Wild Coyote golfers Gary Thompson, Dave Petteys, Scott Pardee and Howard Morkert teamed up to shoot the low team net of 146 and clinch the title for the first half.

At the conclusion of league play later this summer, the Wild Coyotes will then face the second-half winners (providing they don’t win that, too) in a playoff.

First Security Bank players Mike Baxter, Bill Nolen, Ben Mummert and Michael Scharfe shot the low team gross of 178.

Individually, Ryan Ostwald carded the low gross of 37 and Mark Terrazas factored in his handicap to arrive at the low net of 30.

In other Wednesday highlights, Ostwald was closest to the pin in 3 on No. 2, Chadd Laws shot down the long putt on No. 3, Mike Baxter was closest to the pin off the tee on No. 5 and hit the long drive on No. 9, Chuck Manry knocked down the long putt on No. 6 and Mike Gillmore smacked the other long drive, the one for those driving past 55, on No. 9.
