May 14, 2020
Let’s talk about something else for a while. How about Tuesday Night Men’s golf?
Playing through the ongoing pandemic hazard with some slightly altered rules of competition, the Tuesday Night Men’s League teed off on 2020 play last week while maintaining social distancing on the friendly greens and fairways of River’s Bend Golf Course.
Bouncing that dimpled ball off their clubs the best, Easy Street Autoworks team members Dave Garr, Ron Beaty, Jens Jantzen and Rusty Haggard added up a 176 to win low team gross honors, while Big Sky Pantry stroke-meisters Bill Nolen, Howard Morkert, Scott Rasor and Mike Tessier deducted their handicaps to arrive at the low team net 0f 149
Following new rules implemented at the Bend due to the pandemic as directed by league officials, Caleb Bates led the Tuesday men around the Bend with the low individual gross of 37, while Nolen busted out of the gate with the low individual net of 33.
In other Tuesday highlights, Bates was closest to the pin in 3 on No. 2, Russ Yeager downed the long putt on No. 3, Rasor lasered in with the closest shot to the pin on No. 5, Kevin Sparks fired in the long putt on No. 6, Steve Fairbank stroked his drive closest to the pin on No. 8, and Steve Clark blasted the long 55+ drive on No. 9.
Dave Garr shot down a chip-in shot on No. 5, and Rick Hagedorn and Mike Tessier scored chip-ins on No. 9.

Feed-N-Fuel 24
Big Sky Pantry 22
