Easy Street Autoworks captures 1st half crown

Wrapping up the first half title with a flourish, Easy Street Autoworks golfers Dave Garr, Ron Beaty, Jenz Jantzen and Rusty Haggard shot the low team gross of 175 in the latest edition of Tuesday Night Men’s League action at River’s Bend last week.

As a result of their continuing fine play, the Easy Street four finished the first half with 160.5 points compared to 153.5 for second place Big Sky Pantry.

Those Big Sky Pantry duffers Bill Nolen, Howard Morkert, Scott Rasor and Mike Tessier collected low team net honors with a collective round of 146 on the last day of play in the first half of the season.

Kevin Sparks led the Tuesday men in with the low individual gross of 40 and Jake Helvey grabbed low net honors with a well-adjusted 33.

In hole play, Rasor shot down the long putt on No. 3, John Mosher was closest to the pin on No. 5, Garr put in the long putt on No. 6, Helvey hammered his tee shot closest to the pin on No. 8, Sparks blasted the long drive on No. 9, and Howard Morkert walloped the long 55+ drive on No. 9.

Aurther Potts scored a chip-in shot on No. 1 and Jantzen put one in on No. 5.

Although the Tuesday men got their rounds in, Wednesday Night Men’s League action ended up being washed out by rain last week.
