Who is responsible for parks

Who is responsible for the Sanders County parklands?
Not the board of commissioners.
Glen Magera – although the county provides him with an email, he is incapable of hitting the reply button.
Carol Brooker – forwards emails regarding the parks to Tony Cox & the county planner
Tony Cox – writes letters that are not enforced and forwards emails to the county planner.
Not the county planner.
Katherine Maudrone, Director of Land Services, forwards emails to the Sanders County Park Board.
Not the members of the Sanders County Park Board.
Julie Molzahn, Timothy Goen, Bob Paro and Pete Reinschmidt.
When advised that an individual was using county property for their own benefit, these volunteers decided it was a neighborhood dispute.
So, I ask again, who is responsible for the Sanders County Parklands?
At the commissioners meeting on 1/28/21 I got my answer.
The aforementioned give trespassing issues to the County Sheriff – who won’t do anything because the county attorney won’t do anything.
But when the county attorney was questioned, I was told she couldn’t do anything because the sheriff’s department doesn’t give her the case.
When a deputy came out and checked out the situation, he said he would have to check with Katherine Maudrone to make sure she had his back.
In other words, we came full circle in the blame game.
So, it must be whoever has the moxie to claim the land as their own without paying taxes on it or reimbursing the county for the use of it – or as Commissioner Cox said, “it’s just a free for all.”
