The Noxon Lady Red Devils scrambled the District 14C regular season race by upending Clark Fork 57-42 in Superior last Thursday.

Clinching the No. 3 seed into this week's 14C tourney, the Devils will host No. 6 Hot Springs in the first round (see other story for more on the district tourney).

"That was a huge win for us and I think it shows that we are starting to come together better as a team," coach Cortney Vohs said. "We are looking forward to the tournament and seeing how we can do there."

If the Devils get past Hot Springs, they would be looking at a quick rematch with Clark Fork in Superior Thursday in the 14C tourney semifinals.

"It's nice knowing we can play with that team and look forward to seeing them again if it works out that way."

The Lady Devils turned the tide in Superior by winning the fourth quarter 25-5, going from five points down to 15 points up by the end.

Avery Burgess and Emily Brown paced the big win with 21 and 14 points each, respectively. Riley Richter was good for seven more points, Chelsea Vohs five, Jaedyn Murray and Dylan Vigel four each and Mia Vogel two.

Lanie Crabb (13 points), Darby Haskins (12) and Payton Milender (nine) led Clark Fork.

In other action last week, the Lady Devils swamped the Hot Springs Savage Heat 52-13 in Noxon Saturday.

Burgess bucketed 14 points in that win, Richter added 11, Brown 10, Vohs nine, and Murray, Vigel, Vanessa Horner and Maygan Swanson two apiece.
