Easter Services


Sanders County churches will celebrate Easter with services and events throughout the weekend.

Hot Springs

The Sacred Heart Mission is holding a resurrection service at 1:30 p.m. April 4, given by Father Jeffery Benusa.


Plains Alliance Church is hosting a Good Friday service April 2 at 6:30 p.m. and a sunrise service April 4 at 7:30 a.m. at the pool park in Plains. There will also be a resurrection service April 4 at 10 a.m.

The Plains Church on the Move is partnering with the Lions Club for a community Easter egg hunt at the Plains pool park at 1 p.m. Children will be able to collect resurrection eggs at 10 a.m. at the church and the church will also be holding an adult service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday April 4, with live music. There will be free coffee, espresso and doughnuts before the service.

St. James Parish will host a resurrection service, given by Father Benusa at 11 a.m. Sunday morning. There will also be a Holy Thursday service at 7 p.m. April 1.

Plains Bible Church will have a 7 a.m. service given by teaching elder Rich Culbertson, April 4 after which there will be a breakfast.

First Lutheran Church in Plains will be holding Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. Thursday, and services Good Friday at 7 p.m. and Easter Sunday morning at 11 a.m.

Thompson Falls

First Baptist Church on Thompson Falls' Main Street will be holding a sunrise service at 8 a.m. Sunday morning and an Easter egg hunt at the Thompson Falls Airport at 2 p.m. that day. The hunt is for anyone under 12 years old and is free to join.

Father Benusa will hold a resurrection service Sunday at 8:45 a.m. at St. William's Parish. They will also be holding a Good Friday service at 3 p.m.

Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church will hold a service at 9:30 a.m. Easter Sunday and will have a potluck-style brunch afterward. They will also be doing a Maundy Thursday service at 6:30 p.m. and a Good Friday service at 7:30 p.m. Pastor Jakob Berger says all are welcome.

Pastor Charlie Denson at Gospel Mountain Assembly of God presents a Good Friday service at 6 p.m. and a sunrise service at the Thompson Falls Island Park Madison Street bridge Sunday at 7 a.m. There will also be a breakfast at the church at 8 a.m. and pastor Denson says that anyone is welcome at the breakfast.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will be having a Maundy Thursday service at 5 p.m. and a Good Friday service at 5 p.m. On Easter morning, they will be holding a service at 9 a.m.

Trout Creek

The Cabinet Mountain Bible Church is holding a joint sunrise service with the Trout Creek Community Church at the Trout Creek boat launch. This will be at 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning. After, they will host a brunch at 9:30 a.m. and a regular service at 11 a.m.


The Noxon Mission will have Father Benusa give a resurrection service at 4 p.m. Saturday.
