Curry earns All-State C

What a golf season for Plains sophomore Kimmy Curry.

Curry, new to the Plains golf team this year, earned All-State C honors at last week’s State C golf tournament at Riverside Country Club in Bozeman, finishing seventh overall, leading the Trotters to eighth place in final team standings.

Shooting 101 the first day and 98 the second, Curry wound up with a total of 199 to earn her seventh place finish.

Also competing for the Trotters in Bozeman were Kaylee Cole (115-114 – 229), Grace Horton (138-130 – 268) and Lexa Craft (146-133 – 279).

From the Plains boys team, which did not have the three golfers required for State C team scoring, senior Duncan Chisholm (97-110 – 207) and freshman Brandt Snead (124-113 – 237) carried the flag for the Horsemen.

Lisa Brown and Don Stamm are the coaches for the Plains golf team.
