The 8-U Blue Devils walked away with the first-place trophy at the league tournament May 29-30. The Blue Devils, coached by Kjirsten Mercer and Khelsie Eichert, beat an undefeated team twice in the tournament. The first game was won in the bottom of the fifth inning and the second went to extra innings. The team ended the season with 11 wins, two losses and one draw.

"We would like to say thanks for all the girls' hard work and dedication, it really paid off," the coaches said. "And thanks to the parents for always being there. We're looking forward to all the great years of softball to come."
