NOW OPEN - JJ Hunsekker has opened XR Rentals east of Thompson Falls, offering a variety of equipment for rent.

A new heavy equipment rental outlet is open east of Thompson Falls on Highway 200. XR Rentals provides equipment for any number of jobs. "We match people up with the equipment they need for their projects," said JJ Hunsekker, general manager at XR Rentals.

XR Rentals has a variety of equipment, for everything from landscaping to construction projects, including log splitters, mowers, stump planers, scissor lifts, trailers, Bobcats and more. Hunsekker said they are working on expanding their arsenal of products to meet the unique demands of the area. They also provide training on any equipment and have "attachments for just about everything." Hunsekker explained that they work with customers to fill their needs and can even order equipment.

Hunsekker has been in the rental business since 2007 and has done so in several states. Before XR Rentals, he lived in Washington, where he ran another rental company. He grew up in a small town and loves that kind of atmosphere. "We just found a great place here," said Hunsekker, who has family that have lived in the area for some time. Hunsekker said one of the biggest reasons he loves the area is that "it is a place where people love freedom, they love God and they love guns."

According to Hunsekker, this store location has been in the works for several years, and thanks to Glen's Auto Glass and places like ACE, it was able to open. "It is great to service this community and to keep things local," said Hunsekker, who is a big proponent of working inside the local economy. "Rent from XR Rentals and rent from Ace before you take your money out of Sanders County. Shop locally," he added.

XR Rentals is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays by appointment. They are located at 5458 Highway200 in Thompson Falls next to Grocery Surplus. Hunsekker and XR Rentals can be reached over the phone at (406) 242-0477.
