H&H EXPRESS is currently preparing land east of Thompson Falls for an 40-foot by 60-foot freight dock.

A North Idaho freight company is expanding services in Sanders County to keep up with increased demand. H&H Express is constructing an expansion building in Thompson Falls. Located across from Grocery Surplus on Highway 200 just east of Thompson Falls, H&H Express owner Donald West says the 40-foot by 60-foot freight dock will also aid in handling the influx of shipments he has seen over the last year.

"The area is growing so fast and I've seen a lot more freight going in every day," said West. "Right now, we have two or three trucks transferring freight into Thompson Falls every day."

While the company is based in Rathdrum, Idaho, H&H Express has been delivering freight to Montana since 2005.

West says he has freight docks located in Missoula, Kalispell and Spokane, Washington. By adding a dock in Thompson Falls, the company will have one truck stationed here at all times to deliver to the entire county. The expansion building will also give the company the ability to hire a Sanders County resident.

Plans for the expansion building have been in the works for about a year now. "I'm just waiting to get concrete poured and the rest I can work on myself," West said. The owner hopes to be in operation by fall.
