Over the Hill Gang welcomes sunshine

The sun was shining, and the clouds had shied away. That meant no more raincoats for the Over the Hill Gang during Monday play at Rivers Bend. Barb Wooden claimed the women’s low gross with a 58, and Chris Gross locked in the low women’s net with a 42 this week.

Over on the course, Wood eased the ball along to be closest to the pin in two on No. 10, and Gross dropped in the long putt on No. 11. David Tallant had the long putt on No. 12, and Bruce Craw had the longest putt on No. 13. Rees Woolford was the closest to the pin on No. 14, and Dennis Gripp launched the long drive on No. 15.

The longest putt on No. 15 went to Rusty Sharp, and Rick Kendall grabbed the longest putt on No. 16. Gross pushed the ball along to claim the longest putt on No. 17, and Ed Mack made the longest putt on No. 18. Gary Thompson and Liz Morkert pulled down longest drives on No. 18.

Woolford laid down a chip-in on No. 12 and Jenz Jantzen on 13. Gross and David Garr each chipped it in on No. 14. Dave Garr and Mike Normandin each laid claim to a birdie – Garr on No.14 and Normandin on No. 12. The pay for par on No. 13 went to David Tallant and Rick Kendall.
